MAURITIUS aka “Next One” was born in 1969 in Sicily, but soon his family moved to work in Turin. He derived great physical and spiritual teaching from his outstanding comic book heroes such as Marvel and heroes in the flesh like Bruce Lee. He follows the motto of the martial arts master: "The ability to deliver a maximum with a minimum.
His love for dance fuelled by his determination and passion for historical films featuring the pioneers of hip hop culture such as Rock Steady Crew and NYC Breakers, the main architects of the global spread of break dancing (Wild Style, Beat Street and Flash Dance), allowed him to reach high levels in 1985, winning his first world title at the World Championships Break-Dance of IDO (International Dance Organization). With this victory Maurizio’s career evolved professionally becoming the most important exponent of Italian Hip Hop Culture.
He was later chosen to become a part of the Universal Zulu Nation by its founder Afrika Bambaataa.
